2,000 subscribers reached a month early on 90 per cent of the budget
Legit.al wanted 2,000 email subscribers in three months. Using long form lead magnets, creative testing and retargeting, the target was met in two months using only 90 per cent of the budget.
The challenge
Legit.al is a digital platform connecting clients with lawyers and economists, where users can generate documents, contracts and plans by answering a few questions. The goal was 2,000 email subscribers within three months, alongside more website traffic and engagement.
What we did
Lead magnets worth downloading
E-books and guides of more than 40 pages were produced with the client's team. The information existed publicly but was scattered across sources and government websites, so bringing it together created real value.
Campaign targeting
Optimised for conversions, aimed at business owners, entrepreneurs, lawyers and legal teams.
A/B testing the creative
Two versions were tested with the same description and landing page, a hard copy book and a tablet. The hard copy won with 1,071 clicks and 166,305 impressions against 677 clicks and 113,387 impressions, because the tablet version implied you needed a device to read it.
Retargeting
Two ad groups, one for people who had engaged with the first campaign and one for website visitors, with a pixel installed to track downloads.
The results
Target met early
2,000 subscribers in two months rather than three.
Budget left over
Only 90 per cent of the planned budget was needed.
LinkedIn campaign
The remaining 10 per cent registered a further 285 users through a LinkedIn InMail campaign with a 98 per cent open rate.
Testing the creative rather than simply spending more was what made the difference, and it left budget available for an additional channel.
